A FLASH FLOOD IN IRAN HAS KILLED 21 PEOPLE WITH OTHERS STILL MISSING. 

A raging flash flood across Southern Iran has already claimed the lives of 21 individuals as it continues to rise with many still missing. Heavy rains tortured the populated towns of Ij and Roobal around 5pm yesterday, only just scraping past the main city of Estahban. Thirteen of 21 bodies have already been identified as authorities rush to locate the rest of the missing individuals. Floods in Iran have been increasingly common as of lately, however repeated droughts have also been an issue. This constant change in environments is a definite concern for the citizens of affected areas. Several years ago in 2019, a similar flooding situation resulted in 76 people dead and over $2 billion dollars in damage. Scientists claim climate change may have had a significant impact on the severity of the flash flooding and may continue to influence the countries growing concerns. Predictions of worsened heat waves and repetitive dry spells are set for the next few years as Iran continues to grow.
