The hit pop song "torn" has an iconic music video in which the star singers outfit was deemed uncool and inappropriate for the songs associated meaning. The now 42 year old singer has shared that her experiences battling body dysmorphia began occurring after the release of her controversial music video. Imbruglia chose not to wear a dress for the shoot as she did not want to accentuate her already heavily analysed body shape and imperfections. She ended up rocking a black tank top, grey hoodie, and cargo pants. After being heavily criticised by that decision, she announced it made her feel very body dysmorphic and insecure.
